One day after the UN General Assembly chuckled at Presidential Donald Trump throughout his speech, Nikki Haley, the United States ambassador to the UN, appeared on Fox &&Friends for a delusional twisting of occasions.

Insisting that the laughter originated from a location of love and regard, Haley and the Fox &&Friends hosts blamed the media for exactly what they stated was a misstatement of exactly what took place.

If you squint, you can nearly purchase Haley’s description — “The media was aiming to make it something ill-mannered; that’s not exactly what it was” — as the desperate effort of somebody who understands their employer is enjoying and is doing their finest to ward off a targeted temper tantrum. She included:

The media has actually got this so incorrect. I handle these leaders each and every single day. I understand precisely how they believe. Do they like America? No. Do they appreciate America? Now they do. When they stated that they enjoy how truthful he is. And it’s not diplomatic. And they discover it amusing. I suggest, when he goes and he is really honest they kind of were reclaimed by it.

But this does not rather square with that the laughter followed a normal Trumpian boast and Trump’s own response was among surprise (“Didn’t anticipate that”). And let’s not forget the German response to one part of Trump’s speech.

But, alright, once again, Haley is plainly safeguarding Trump understanding complete well that he will like the attack on the media. And, after all, she’s not going that far beyond Trump himself, who stated that he absolutely implied for everybody to laugh.

What actually takes us into delusional area, however, is the defense from Fox’s Brian Kilmeade who attempts to discuss the laughter thus:

It was the echo laugh. I believe a part of it was he pulled off the prompter and responded in realtime and that never ever takes place at the U.N. You read your story, the world is enjoying, he ad-libbed it.

That’s reeeeeaaaaaally extending it, friend. Not that we truly anticipate anything else at this moment.

As for exactly what Trump thinks about this spin, we’ll most likely learn on Wednesday afternoon when Trump holds an uncommon interview to discuss his involvement in the UN’s activities.

Buckle up.
