Well, this is odd.

Some consumers of Australian provider Telstra were not able to utilize iMessage and FaceTime on Wednesday early morning, as professionals worked to repair the problem with the 2 Apple services.

The provider’s blackouts page verified the issue. In a tweet, Telstra stated clients might continue to get and send out SMS messages, however later on mentioned those services were returning to typical.

“Earlier today some consumers experienced an interruption to Apple iMessage and FaceTime services. We dealt with Apple to solve this problem. Solutions are now being gradually being brought back. We apologise for any trouble triggered,” a Telstra representative stated through e-mail.

One Twitter user, Nikolai Hampton, reported that Apple’s servers were not obtainable by Telstra.
