What is a night cough?
Night-time coughs can be disruptive for the whole family.
Coughing starts when part of your breathing passage becomes inflamed or irritated.
The cough is simply a reflex to try and remove the irritant and clear the airway.
Coughs can either be productive (producing excess mucus or phlegm) or unproductive (producing no mucus or phlegm).
Chesty and mucus coughs are productive, whereas dry and tickly coughs are unproductive.

How to use
Please read the enclosed leaflet carefully before use.
For oral use only.
Children 6 to 12 years: Two 5ml spoonfuls every 6 hours.
Not suitable for children under 6 years.
Do not use more than 4 doses in 24 hours.
Do not use for more than 5 days without the advice of a doctor. Do not use to sedate a child.
As with all medicines, if your child is currently taking any other medicine, consult your doctor or pharmacist before this product is taken.
Do not give with any other cough and cold medicine.
Diabetics: this product contains sorbitol (carbohydrate content approximately 1.78g per 5ml).

Side Effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects,
although not everybody gets them.
If your child experiences any of the
following, stop using the medicine and
seek medical help immediately:
■ Allergic reactions including skin rashes (which may be
severe and include blistering and peeling of the skin)
and itching.
If your child experiences any of the
following, stop using the medicine and talk
to your doctor:
■ Difficulty passing urine.
■ Fits or seizures.
Other effects that may occur include:
Very common (may affect more than 1 in 10
people)
■ Drowsiness
Common (may affect up to 1 in 10 people)
■ Dizziness or unusual weakness
■ Stimulation or slowness in movement or speech
■ Headache, thickened mucus or blurred vision
■ Dry mouth, nausea or vomiting
Uncommon (may affect up to 1 in 100 people)
■ Irritability, hallucinations, nervousness, agitation or sedation
■ Pins & needles (paraesthesia)
■ Ringing in the ears (tinnitus)
■ A fast heartbeat, low blood pressure or chest discomfort
■ Dry nose
Rare (may affect up to 1 in 1,000 people)
■ Blood disorders
■ Confusion, depression, involuntary movements,
shakiness (tremor) or difficulty sleeping
■ Irregular heartbeat or increased awareness of the
heartbeat (palpitations).
■ Liver problems

Active Ingredients: Each 5ml of cough syrup contains Multiple Active Ingredients: Diphenhydramine hydrochloride 7 mg, Levomenthol 0.55mg.
Also contains: Sorbitol solution (E420), Ethanol 5%. (See leaflet).
