Ciprotab TN Tablets are a potent combination of two antibiotics that work together to fight a variety of infections. A combination medicine of CIPROFLOXACIN+TINIDAZOLE is perfect for treating both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacterial infections and infections caused by organisms called protozoa, such as amoebiasis and giardiasis (stomach infections) and trichomoniasis (a genital infection)

Ciprotab TN is effective in treating the following infection:

  • respiratory tract infections(e.g. certain types of pneumonia)
  • long lasting or recurring ear or sinus infections
  • urinary tract infections (bladder and kidneys infection)
  • genital tract infections in men and women (e.g. gonorrhoea, a sexually transmitted disease)
  • gastro-intestinal tract infections (e.g.severe gastro-enteritis) and intra-abdominal infections
  • skin and soft tissue infections
  • bone and joint infections
  • to prevent infections due to the bacteria Neisseria meningitides which causes meningitis(brain and spinal cord inflammation)
  • anthrax inhalation exposure (infection that occurs when the spores from bacteria Bacillus anthracis enters the body).
  • • infections of the skin, blood, chest, lung, genitals or womb lining.
  •  an infection associated with stomach ulcers in combination with other drugs.

Taking Ciprotab TN Tablets may cause hypersensitivity reactions with symptoms such as rashes, fever, skin reactions, pain in joints, pain in muscles, etc in some individuals. Seek medical help immediately in case you have any of the above adverse reactions on taking the medication.

Drug Interactions

Drug-drug interaction: This medicine may have an interaction with medicines used to relieve muscle spasms such as tizanidine, medicines used to treat respiratory problems such as theophylline, antidepressants like duloxetine, oral antidiabetic drugs, medicines used to treat seizures such as phenytoin, drugs used for immunosuppression such as cyclosporine and medicines used to treat sleep problems such as zolpidem.

Food-Drug Interaction: Ciprotab TN Tablets may interact with a multi-mineral or other herbal/ayurvedic supplements. So, if you are using any of the OTC items please tell your doctor.
