Exiplon Cough Syrup For Children contains two active ingredients: Diphenhydramine hydrochloride  and Sodium citrate

Diphenhydramine hydrochloride is an antihistamine and helps relieve congestions. It also helps relieve runny nose and sneezing associated with hayfever and other allergies.

Sodium Citrate is a mucolytic, an agent which breaks down mucus, so that coughing up phlegm is easier.
