How to Use

How to use Voltaren Emugel

Squeeze a small amount of Voltaren Emulgel, around the size of a 1 penny or 2 penny piece, to the affected area and gently rub into the skin until the gel is absorbed.

Do this up to 4 times a day, leaving at least 4 hours between each application.

Do not use more than 4 times in any 24 hours, and do not use this gel for more than 14 days at a time, unless advised otherwise by your doctor.

When should Voltaren Emulgel not be used?

Voltaren Emulgel is not suitable for use by children under the age of 14. Do not use this product if you are allergic to diclofenac, any other medicines used to treat pain, fever, or inflammation (e.g. ibuprofen, aspirin), or any of the other listed ingredients. For external use only, avoid contact with eyes

and do not apply to open wounds, cuts, or any other area where the skin is abnormal. Do not use Voltarol Emulgel if you:

Are using any other medicines containing diclofenac or are taking any other NSAIDs, such as ibuprofen or aspirin
Have severe joint pain with a recent onset that is not related to a recent injury or period of overuse
Feel ill, have a temperature, or any other symptoms accompany the pain
Are in the last 3 months of pregnancy
Wish to use it on an area of skin that has a rash or eczema, or cuts or open wounds

Speak to your doctor or Asset Pharmacy pharmacist before using this product if you:

Need to apply the gel to large areas of skin over a prolonged period
Are sunbathing or using sun lamps, as your skin may be more sensitive to sunlight
